Our Team
We're starting small, but with a clear goal in mind: thanks to cooperation with our colleagues in the Wertheim area, we aim to grow and offer you an even more comprehensive range of services in the future. Our motto is a professional, well-coordinated, and empathetic team. We don't believe in standing still. That's why we consistently focus on continuing education and integrating new treatment methods to always ensure your pets receive the best possible care. One of the most important tasks in veterinary medicine is continuous improvement, as this is the only way to truly serve our patients.
Agnieszka Anna Krzykawska
Veterinarian and Practice Owner
As the veterinarian and founder of Kleintierpraxis Hospitalstrasse, I'm delighted to welcome you and your beloved pets. I completed my veterinary studies in Wrocław and at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. Since 2011, I've gained extensive practical experience in large small animal clinics in Northern Germany, most recently at the Small Animal Center Würzburg.
My particular interests lie in internal medicine, emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, dermatology, and ophthalmology. To stay consistently up-to-date, I regularly attend congresses and continuing education courses both domestically and internationally, and I've completed numerous courses in ultrasound diagnostics, ophthalmology and dermatology. I'm also certified in the sonographic detection of PKD in cats.
Animals hold a special place in my heart, even outside of work. My beloved 16-year-old cat is a central part of my life and you might even spot her in some of our practice images! I'm excited to dedicate my expertise to the health and happiness of your pets.

Elina Schlemmer
Veterinary Assistant Trainee
Since childhood, animals and veterinary medicine have fascinated me. It has always been my wish to work in this field. Therefore, I am very pleased to have started my apprenticeship as a Veterinary Assistant (Tiermedizinische Fachangestellte) in the small animal practice in September 2025.
In my free time, I am passionate about horses and assisting beginner riders with their training. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets in person soon and to supporting the team at the Kleintierpraxis Hospitalstrasse.
Melanie Schmidt
Veterinary Assistant
Animals have always played a major role in my life. As a Veterinary Assistant, I bring five years of professional experience and know exactly how important a compassionate approach is towards both the patients and their owners.
At home, I share my life with my dog and three cats, whom I found abandoned in the woods and raised myself. In addition, I volunteer in animal welfare, nursing injured or orphaned squirrels back to health and caring for them until they are ready to be released back into the wild.
I am very excited to actively support the team here and to work together for the well-being of our animal patients.
